Gingival recession presents challenging treatment considerations dentists face every day. Fear of post-surgical pain, bleeding and sometimes unpredictable results associated with conventional grafting surgery can cause dentists to hesitate in treatment.

KIWIMethod® Workshop is the engine for change you’ve been looking for to learn minimally-invasive, practical and proven gingival grafting for root coverage and non-root coverage. It’s a proven approach used to train post-doctoral periodontal residents in precision grafting techniques.

Autogenous gingival grafting is the gold standard & KIWIMethod® minimally invasive recipient site prep & non-palatal tissue harvesting lessens postop bleeding/discomfort and improves outcomes.

Workshop is limited to 24 attendees.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Understand practical recipient site preparation for root coverage and non-root coverage
  • Learn special techniques minimally invasive graft harvest from the tuberosity and premaxilla palatal zone
  • Understand predictable suturing techniques and time-tested post op protocols

NOTE: Some experience with gingival grafting is suggested.

Dr. George Merijohn

San Francisco periodontist George K. Merijohn practiced 28 years and is Associate Clinical Professor in postdoctoral periodontics at UCSF and U Washington. He is a leading clinician and educator in periodontics and an authority on gingival recession prevention, management, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Merijohn authors articles on gingival recession & the evidence-based approach; publishes; consults; lectures internationally; & leads gingival grafting workshops. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice and is the founder and director of the Meadowood Dental Study Club in Napa Valley California.
